Jr Preschool (0 – 3 years)
At Building Brains, we encourage babies to learn through play, music, exploration and discovery of the natural world. Our infants experience all three of our learning curricula in one classroom, which prepares them for their transition to Junior Preschool! In a unique and artistic environment full of imagination and creativity, babies begin to explore the world around them through their senses.
By introducing babies to a school environment early, students in our Infant program will have the opportunity to explore their world and discover that adults and the environment around them is a safe and exciting place to learn!
End Goals for the Infant Program
- Developing trust
- Build healthy relationships
- Explore with confidence
- Enhance creativity and imagination
With part-time and full-time options, Building Brains supports families from diverse backgrounds to give their children a whole-brain approach to early childhood education.
Our Junior Preschool program offers children the chance to spend time in three different learning environments throughout the week. In the Reggio Emilia-inspired Right Brain room, we encourage their desire to discover, and in the Montessori-based Left Brain room, we support their need for independence, all while providing a sense of safety and security. Our Movement room supports infants and toddlers internal desire to move and be active, while teaching them fundamental physical literacy skills and promoting overall health and wellness.
By introducing change and challenging young children’s adaptability, students in our Junior Preschool program will have the opportunity to develop their “whole brain” and Executive Function Skills, including working memory, impulse control and cognitive flexibility. As these skills develop over time, children are prepared for life-long success!
End Goals for the Junior Preschool Program
- Support the development of independence
- Communicate and appreciate relationship boundaries
- Learn through creativity, and experience new skills and limits
